Ahmadjon Abdujabbarov is a senior researcher at the Ulugh Beg Astronomical Institute (UBAI) of the Uzbek Academy of Sciences in Tashkent. In 2016 he defended his habilitation DSc dissertation on "Particles and electromagnetic fields around axial-symmetric compact gravitating objects".
His research focuses on relativistic astrophysics and general relativity, including the dynamics of spinning charged particles around rotating black holes, black hole shadows as observational tests of general relativity and alternative theories of gravity, and gravitational weak lensing in the presence of black holes.
