Dr. Kanat Baigarin

Kanat Baigarin is affiliated with the Energetic Cosmos Laboratory (ECL) at Nazarbayev University in Astana, Kazakhstan, where he serves as Chief Officer for Sustainable Development and Advisor to the President of the university.

He holds a PhD in Physics and Chemistry of Plasma from the Kurchatov Institute of Atomic Energy. His scientific contributions include participation in the Horizon-T extensive air shower experiment at the Tien Shan High-Altitude Scientific Station, which investigates the temporal structure of cosmic-ray air showers with energies above 10^16 eV.
